Hidden Henley

YOU could end up in deep water — literally — if you attempt to drive through this ford in Charvil.

The road known locally as Lands End takes you through the River Loddon which experiences wild variations in water flow.

There are flashing signs urging drivers to think twice before attempting to cross and another one at the very edge of the ford stating: “You have been warned.”

As the abandoned vehicle in my picture shows, not everyone heeds this advice.
