Basking in morning sun

Sir, — Mike K is correct in saying the butterfly is a gatekeeper and not a wall brown (Standard, September 26). To my knowledge, wall browns exist in isolated areas and are not local to Henley. My picture showing a wall brown basking in the early morning sunshine was taken on the South Coast Path, Dorset, in August 2009. —Yours faithfully,

Tony Chandler
