Presenter turned novelist

TELEVISION presenter, broadcaster, agony uncle and one half of Richard and Judy, Richard Madeley has written a revenge thriller called Father’s Day and is making a timely visit to Henley.

He is coming to Christ Church in Reading Road for a Henley Literary Festival pop-up event on Thursday, June 6, 10 days before Father’s Day.

Richard’s story follows Nick Wychwood, who loses his wife Elise in a shocking accident. He and their daughter Lucy move house for new beginnings but soon someone in the online community tries to take advantage of the vulnerable young girl.

Nick has to find out what has happened and vows to track down the person behind the screen.

Set in the Cotswolds, the book explores fierce paternal love, the dangers of trolling and the morality of vigilantism.

Tickets cost £15 or £25 to include a copy of the book. Visit www.henleyliterary
