A NEW series of summer concerts in Hambleden Church starts tomorrow (Saturday) with a performance of a Mozart serenade written for 13 instruments.

Serenade No 10 For Winds In B Flat Major is the longest intrumental piece written by the maestro, with seven movements and is scored for an unusual group of instruments — pairs of oboes, clarinets, basset horns, bassoons plus four French horns and a contrabassoon. Serenata Winds, a group formed from freelance musicians and post-graduate students of the Birmingham Conservatoire, will perform. The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets from Hambleden Stores or at the door.
