LAURA MVULA has been added to the line-up of this year’s Henley Festival.
The soul singer and songwriter will perform during the Friday night main stage tribute show to George Gershwin, call Who Got Rhythm! with vocalist Gregory Porter and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
The repertoire will include Rhapsody in Blue and arrangements of songs including The Man I Love, Fascinating Rhythm, A Foggy Day in London Town and I Got Rhythm.
Conducted by Troy Miller and Fabio D’Andrea, the all-star cast also includes classical trumpeter Alison Balsom and Chinese pianist Ji Liu.
The festival will take place from Wdnesday to Sunday, July 8 to 12. Lionel Richie, the first headline artist to be announced, will perform on the Thursday night.
