FANS of bobby-soxing hit musical Dreamboats and Petticoats can enjoy all the Sixties hits and swinging fashions again in sequel Dreamboats and Miniskirts, at Theatre Royal Windsor from Monday until Saturday, March 21.
Since its premiere in Windsor last August, Dreamboats and Miniskirts has played to packed houses in theatres across the UK, in a non-stop performance schedule from Edinburgh to Truro and from Cardiff to Newcastle.
So what happened to Bobby and Laura and Norman and Sue? It is 1963, and the world is changing. Bobby and Laura’s single Dreamboats and Petticoats is only half a hit.
Norman and Sue have settled down to non-marital bliss and a baby. And Ray and Donna seem blissfully happyâ?¦
The advent of the Beatles and the Merseyside sound is inspirational. But will it inspire Bobby and Laura to have one more shot at stardom, Norman to find that hit parade voice he has longed for, and Ray to realise his ambition and manage a top pop act?
Dreamboats and Miniskirts is written by hit-making team Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the men behind
Goodnight Sweetheart,
Birds of a Feather,
The New Statesman,
Shine on Harvey Moon, and
Save the Last Dance For Me.
Tickets cost from £13-£35. Box office 01753 853888 or visit www.theatreroyal windsor.co.uk
