LEADING clarinettist Emma Johnson will join talented young musicians of the European Union Chamber Orchestra for a classical concert at The Hexagon, at 7.30pm next Friday (May 8).
They will play Mozart’s Concerto in A Major as well as works by Respighi, Delius and Haydn.
Emma was named BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1984 and was a winner of the Young Concert Artists Auditions in New York while still at school and is in great demand as a solo or collaborative artist, composer and arranger.
The Berkshire Maestros County Clarinet Choir has been formed especially for this event, drawing players from groups based at Newbury, Thatcham, Reading, Bracknell and Windsor music centres.
Adam Hope will present a free pre-concert talk at 6.15pm.
Tickets cost from £18 (concessions, U18s and schools rates available).
