THE Nettlebed Folk Song Club launches its new season next month with legendary fiddle, guitar and vocal duo Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick.

They will be appearing at The Village Club, on the High Street, on September 7. Martin and Dave will perform a collection of traditional songs and instrumentals.

Musician and singer Maz O’Connor, who was this year nominated for the BBC Horizon Award, will take to the stage on September 14. She plays guitar, shruti box, piano and harmonium.

Shows run from 8pm to 11pm.
