CAVERSHAM musician, author and raconteur Alan Clayson has finally made a recording of his successful show, Clayson Sings Chanson.

Alan has previously performed the show, which has been running since 2011, at the Rising Sun Arts Centre in Reading, accompanied by keyboard player Andy Lavery.

The 73-year-old has written biographies of people including Jacques Brel, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. According to Alan, the album has a focus on “passion, humour, deep emotion and sometimes casually shocking frankness, embracing love, liberty, tenderness, parting, death, abandonment, stupidity and further qualities of the human condition”.

The album, which is on the label Aetheria, will be released on Tuesday, September 17. For more information, visit www.alanclayson.com
