SHIPLAKE COLLEGE picked up three wins and a third place at the Wycliffe Big Head.

Over the 4,500-metre course along the Gloucester Berkeley canal between Slimbridge Bridge and Fretherne Bridge, the Shiplake eight of Vardigans, Barrett, Hearnden, Glover, Elcock, Hogan, Parnell and Rewcastle set an unbeatable time to win their intermediate three event. Finishing in 16 minutes, 55 seconds, they were 69 seconds ahead of second-placed Oratory School.

In the intermediate two category for coxed fours Shiplake finished 42 seconds ahead of King’s School Chester. There was another victory for Shiplake in the J18 coxed fours where they again finished ahead of King’s School Chester, this time by nine seconds.
