Bus trips to shops

THE minibus service in Sonning Common has released its November timetable.

The Fish volunteer centre offers shopping and leisure trips to residents who have difficulty finding their own means of transport.

The bus will visit Tesco in Henley on Monday 3, 10, 17 and 24. There will be a visit to Reading town centre on Tuesdays 4 and 18. On Thursday 6, there will be a trip to Waitrose in Henley.

On Thursday 27, the bus will visit Henley farmers’ market. On Tuesdays 11 and 25, the bus will go to Morrisons and Lidl in Reading with a pick-up time of 10am.

Passengers will be picked up from home at 9am. Each trip costs £4 or is free with a bus pass.

The bus also takes residents on a number of social trips in and around the village and will pick up passengers from home.

These trips are as follows: Sonning Common library for its social mornings on Friday 7, 14, 21 and 28. Pick-up is 10am and return is at noon and is free of charge.

Fish’s drop-in afternoon tea in the village hall on Monday 10 with pick-up from 1.15pm and return at 4pm free of charge.

On Wednesday 19, the bus will make a trip to Marks and Spencer in Camberley with  pick-up from 9am and return at 1.30pm. Cost £8.

On Thursday 13, the bus will pay its annual visit to West London museums. The cost is £15 and admission to all museums is free. Pick-up is 9am and return at 3.30pm.
