Rowbotham and Loader win titles

CAVERSHAM Park Tennis Club held their annual championships last Saturday.

Christian Rowbotham claimed the men’s singles title with an impressive victory against Logan Turner, while Celine Loader secured the ladies’ singles title after seeing off a spirited challenge from Ali Glover.

Rowbotham competed in three finals altogether, adding the mixed doubles title (with Nikki Botterill) and the men’s doubles title (with Logan Turner) to his trophy haul for the day. Following their close encounter on the singles court, Loader and Glover teamed up for the ladies’ doubles and prevailed against Elaine Cheng and Jade Turner.

Other winners on the day were Katja Bailey (ladies’ vets singles), Lucas Haines (U18 open singles), Simion Kacesov (U16 boys’ singles and U14 open singles), Dhriti Nayini (U16 girls’ singles), and Arabella Yu (U12 open singles).
