FOUR new events have been revealed for next year’s Wargrave Festival.

An arts trail around the village, a wine-tasting evening, an acoustic night and an ABBA party will be staged as part of the celebrations from Wednesday, June 10 to Sunday, June 28.

This year’s theme is “storytelling” as 2026 marks the centenary of storytellers and tales including Winnie the Pooh and the births of Elisabeth Beresford and Michael Bond who created The Wombles and Paddington Bear.

The acoustic night will return on Tuesday, June 23 after a nine-year hiatus with two guitarists while the wine-tasting evening will be held on Saturday, June 20.

The ABBA party will see music from the ABBA Re-Björn tribute band, with all proceeds going to Camp Mohawk to support children with special needs.

The arts trail, on Sunday, June 14, will feature the work of a range of artists and crafters.

Organisers Bee Burke and Helen Wallace are looking for people who wish to exhibit and can do so their gardens, workshops and homes. For more information, email
