TWO benches commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II will be installed outside the multi-use games area in Watlington.

The facility is in the recreation ground off Shirburn Road, which is owned by the parish council.

The benches will be funded by the Beacon Festival and Watlington Public Charities and each will have a commemorative plastic plaque affixed to it.

The plaques will read: “To Commemorate the Reign of Queen Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, donated by Watlington Public Charities” and “Donated by the Beacon Festival”.
