THIS area is a popular location for filming TV drama series and films.

For example, Marlow suspension bridge was used in the recent BBC series Great Expectations as if located in
Charles Dickens’ London.

The ITV series Endeavour ended in February with crucial scenes shot at St Nicholas’ Church in Remenham where my photo was taken.

The love of young Morse’s life was getting married to someone else, breaking the detective’s heart.

The church’s fine lych gate under which the actors walked has inscriptions to mark the death in July 1884 of 14-year-old Violet Constance Noble, of Park Place, from scarlet fever.
