THE junior section of Kidmore End Cricket Club will be starting winter nets at Shiplake College on Saturday, January 30 from 4.15pm to 6.45pm and continue until April 16.
Performance Cricket, led by Chris Ellison who is Berkshire’s only ECB level 4 qualified coach, will be running the sessions with the club coaches.
All club coaches are ECB level 2 qualified and the club is a holder of the ClubMark accreditation, essential for the safety and protection of all children.
Summer training starts at the Gallowstree Common ground the week beginning Monday, April 18 and, new for this year, will run until mid-August, league matches taking place throughout the months of May to July.
After a successful first year, the club will also be running their Sunday morning Little Crickets sessions for children aged four to six years. These sessions are run by staff from Performance Cricket with fun and learning the basics being the key focus.
New players are welcome especially in the U10 and U11 age group, school years five and six. The club is also expanding its girls’ section in all age groups.
