TWO Berkshire men are set to jet off down under later this month with the England 70+ squad as they seek to defend their Silver Ashes and World Champions titles in Australia and New Zealand.
Charles Bury, a cricket enthusiast and player for the Berkshire 60s and 70s sides will make the trip as assistant manager having collaborated closely with manager, Chris Lowe to deliver the first ever 70s World Cup in England during the summer of 2024.
Joining Bury will be Hurley Cricket Club’s Mike Walton who will be the official scorer as the tourists play up to 15 games across the two countries in a five week period.
The Silver Ashes leg of the tour takes in games in Adelaide and Sydney, including three one day internationals while the World Cup tournament is being held in Christchurch, New Zealand.
