Stay alert as medic comedian is a gas

COMIC author, podcaster and anaesthetist Ed Patrick will be sharing anecdotes about working in the NHS as a junior doctor when he comes to the Kenton Theatre later this month.

In “Catch Your Breath: The Secret Life of a Sleepless Anaesthetist”, Ed will reflect on the balancing act involved in his role, alongside the random unexpected bodily and anatomical moments experienced in hospitals when training as a medic.

From his student days in Aberdeen, through the coronavirus pandemic and PPE, his hilarious show pulls no punches about modern-day medicine.

With TV appearances including Have I Got News For You and Friday Night, Ed has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and he hosts the podcast Comedians’ Surgery, where guests have included Joe Lycett, Rose Matafeo and Phil Wang.

The show is at the Kenton Theatre on Thursday, September 18 at 7.30pm and tickets cost £20.75.
