THE latest data from speed information displays in Benson reveals a reduction of traffic in some areas but little change in driver behaviour.

Fewer vehicles were recorded on Littleworth Road and St Helens Avenue in July compared with June, with the most significant drop seen in Church Road, where vehicles travelling in both directions daily were down from more than 7000 in June to around 1500 in July.

Speeding data remains consistent, with the fastest speeds recorded most often on Watlington Road, where 25 per cent of vehicles travelled through the 20mph zone at 40mph or more.
