TENANCY charges for allotments in Mill Lane, St Helen’s Avenue and Stream Side in Benson will double next year.

The parish council, which owns the land, agreed at its meeting on Thursday last week to increase charges from 7p to 14p per sq m as of October 2026.

Bill Pattison, who chairs the council, said the allotments are still operating at a loss.

The admin fee charged for each tenancy has also increased from £13.21 to £15.
