Transport help hub

09:30AM, Monday 06 October 2025

A TRIAL “mobility hub” could be developed at Benson Marina to support public transport in the village.

The hub will see upgrades made to bus stops, cycle parking and the accessibility of pavements.

“Mobility hubs” will be trialled by Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, at a cost of £1.5 million.

Plans include a new bus shelter, community space, new and widened pavements, a cycle parking area and electric vehicle charging points.

If the project goes ahead, construction could be completed next summer.

A consultation is underway and residents can respond by Wednesday, October 22.
