Cars collide

A HEAD-on collision took place in Fair Mile, Henley on Monday.

The incident involved a Mini and a Mercedes at about 2.20pm, close to the Bix turn-off.

The driver of the Mercedes was travelling towards Henley when they swerved to avoid an animal.

The car went through the dividing hedgerow and on to the opposite carriageway heading towards Nettlebed.

Emergency services were called to the scene.

The woman driving the Mini received cuts and bruises and injured a leg. The driver of the Mercedes was unharmed.

The road remained closed for about three hours.
