U15 Harry Lotery continued his fine summer with the bat, but PEPPARD STOKE ROW RAJPUTS were outmatched by visitors OLD LEIGHTONIANS in a 65-run Sunday reverse.
Seb Powers (50 retired), John Acland-Hood (32) and Waqas (50 retired) were all among the runs as the away side totalled 220-4 in their 35 overs, U16 Dom Proudfoot bowling a tidy seven-over spell.
Rajputs lost openers Sam Franklin and Dom Ellis cheaply and with that any realistic chance of victory was gone, but Lotery (44) closed in on 700 runs for the campaign with another classy knock.
Steve Rumble added 20 on his return from a finger injury suffered back in April, Proudfoot with 25, but the hosts could only muster 155-8 with Tom Hewitt claiming 3-37.
CRAZIES HILL secured a four-wicket win against LITTLEWICK GREEN courtesy of a 58-run seventh-wicket partnership from Simpson and McCooke after slumping to 85-6 chasing 141.
Littlewick Green, after the loss of two early wickets via Robinson, rallied and were well placed following an 80-run partnership between Sullivan and Redshaw before McCooke removed both and Littlewick struggled to regain momentum. Wickets fell steadily with Montgomery taking 3-12 and Harper just missing out on a hat-trick.
Crazies Hill got off to a good start in their chase with Mun Gavin and Hall both finding the boundary before falling when well set. With 60 runs needed and seven wickets in hand the target looked comfortable until Williams removed Montgomery and Harper in the same over.
Berger went soon after but with Simpson (41) nicely settled and McCooke (29) hitting out as Crazies held on despite Williams’s 3-11.
