Medical worker’s finesse with magic

Medical worker’s finesse with magic

MAGICIAN Danny Lee Grew will be using stunning sleight of hand and illusion in his one-man show, 24K Magic, which is at the Kenton Theatre tomorrow (Saturday).

Voted stage magician of the year by the British Ring of the International Brotherhood of Magicians last year, the entertainer describes his act as having no magic tricks, just “miracles”.

When he worked as a clinical support officer in the NHS, Danny assisted with minor surgery, procedures and wrapping patients in bandages.

He would practise magic on colleagues and patients before finally making a career change and now appears on television, in theatres, on ships and at holiday resorts. Fans include David Beckham, Pink and Stormzy.

Danny Lee Grew – 24K Magic is at the Kenton Theatre on Saturday, September 13 at 7.30pm. Recommended for ages eight and over, tickets cost £20.75. For more information, call the box office on (01491) 525050 or visit thekenton.org.uk
