IT is not easy to get hold of a Henley in Bloom Gardening Buddies T-shirt, as David Eggleton knows.

Mr Eggleton, who has helped to brighten up the Gainsborough estate, where he lives, asked group organiser Elizabeth Hodgkin whether he could have one of its blue shirts.

She replied that he would need to not only join the volunteers but also complete two sessions with them before he would be entitled to one.

Dave’s always up for a challenge and readily agreed to become one of the few male buddies. Good luck!
