AT the time of writing, I do not know the result of the Henley parliamentary constituency election.

But Labour candidate Sam Juthani couldn’t have done himself any favours with a flyer being handed out to shoppers in Market Place on Saturday, saying he was determined to stand up for the people of “Henely on Thames” (sic).

One Conservative supporter said: “I don’t suppose it will matter. Nice piece of cardboard, though, I’ll use it as a bookmark (my masochistic streak)!”
