IAIN WANSTALL had a blast from the past when he took part in a skydive for an advertising campaign.

The 51-year-old solicitor, who works for QualitySolicitors Lawrence Hamblin in Greys Road, Henley, jumped out of a plane at 10,000ft to encourage people to donate to charity when they die.

It was his first jump since the late Eighties, when he took part in a static line jump over Germany while a captain in the Gordon Highlanders regiment.

Mr Wanstall was joined by seven pensioners, who revised and signed their wills in mid-air while strapped to instructors from an RAF display team. One was leaving a gift to Sue Ryder.

The “extreme will-writing” stunt was devised by the Remember A Charity campaign, which supports 140 major British charities, and was filmed for an internet advert which was launched on Monday.

Mr Wanstall said: “It’s a very worthwhile campaign.”
