WITH several new faces joining Henley Town Council this year, even Mayor Lorraine Hillier finds it hard to keep track of who her colleagues are.

Such was the case at a council meeting on Tuesday, when she introduced former mayor Ken Arlett as “Councillor Arlett”.

Mr Arlett, chairman of Henley UKIP, sat on the council in the Nineties.

After the Mayor’s gaffe, which drew laughter from colleagues, Mr Arlett said: “It was just a matter of time!”

The Mayor regained her composure in time to correctly address another former member in the public gallery, Pam Phillips, as “Mrs Phillips”.
