PARISH councillors in Wargrave are set for a dose of tablets — but not the type that is taken with water.

At a meeting on Monday, they discussed buying new tablet computers to use for their council work. The devices would store planning applications and also pick up emails.

Many councillors already own tablets for use in their work or private lives and Wokingham borough councillor John Halsall warned that members might find themselves “walking around with 50 tablets”.

Chairman Richard Bush quipped: “I already take a dozen a day!”
