PHIL ROSE, co-organiser of the Hairy Legs challenge in Goring last weekend, says he was “stitched up” into having his legs waxed for the day.

The task was done by staff at the Virgo Beauty salon in the village but even so, says Phil, “it hurt”.

However, it was for a good cause as he raised £250 towards sports projects at the primary schools in the village and neigbouring Streatley.
