VISITORS will be able to see a variety of native and continental cattle breeds at the show.
The next generation of cattle farmers will also be showing their skills in the young handler classes.
In the sheep ring there will be a variety of native and commercial breeds, including the Kerry Hill and Texel.
Kerry Hill sheep have a distinctive and unique coloration, with a white face bearing black markings around the mouth, ears and eyes. While it was removed from the rare breeds watchlist in 2006, numbers are still not high.
Texel sheep are heavy and muscular and are clean-faced and clean-legged. Their wool is mainly used for knitting and hosiery.
Also competing are the best pen of butcher’s lambs while junior exhibitors will be showing their handling skills and knowledge.
In the cattle ring there will be native and commercial beef classes. Younge handlers will also demonstrate their skills.
