Dog show in Village

THE companion dog show will take place in the Village.

Entries will be taken from noon, next to the dog show rings, and will be judged by Elaine Walker (pedigree section) and Cherry Orchard Vets (novelty section), from 1pm. Entry is £3 per class or £8 for three.

Rosettes will be awarded to the first five dogs in all classes and prizes to the first two in all classes. The prizes have been donated by Dairy Lane Dog Grooming.

Pedigree section — ring one: Puppy (six to 12 months); sporting; non-sporting; open; veteran (seven years +) and junior handler (six to 16 years).

Novelty section — ring two: Best cross-breed; cutest puppy (six to 12 months); best rescue; waggiest tail; lovely lasses; top dog; best trick and best novelty.

Regulations — puppies under six months are not eligible; junior handlers must use own or parents’ dogs; dogs cannot enter the pedigree section if won challenge certificates, reserve CC or junior warrant.
