School’s top 10 ranking

WHITCHURCH Primary School has been ranked in the top 10 in the country.

An analysis, completed by The Telegraph, ranked the schools based on their reading, writing and maths scores.

The primary school ranked 10th out of thousands of other primary schools in the country.

They were ranked according to nine criteria, and Whitchurch achieved an overall score of 40 out of 40, scoring the maximum five points in all three key academic areas for key stage two results.

It earned the maximum three points for performing significantly above the local average in all key subjects.

Headteacher Dawn Chesters said: “This ranking, with a perfect score of 40 out of 40, is a reflection of the wonderful spirit and dedication of everyone here at Whitchurch.

“It’s a true validation of our approach to education.”
