HAMBLEDEN Football Club have organised a fund-raising day later this month which will see them take on a Reading FC Legends side at the Dene.
The match against the Royals side which may include the likes of Kevin Watson, Andy Gray, Adrian Williams as well as other former internationals and current backroom staff and several local celebrities, will take place on Sunday, April 24.
The day is to help the club raise funds to buy new dugouts that got destroyed in a recent storm and help keep the clubhouse open as well as raising money for charity. A place in the Reading line-up, where the winner will play 15 minutes of the match, will be auctioned off. Hambleden are also seeking children to be team mascots.
Before the match there will be a children’s five-a-side game with a Reading player presenting the trophies to the winners. The Royals players will also be on hand all day to sign autographs and have photos taken.
A raffle and various side stalls as well as well as food and drink will also be available.
