A TALK on the history of Reading from the Vikings to the nuclear armament will be staged at Goring Heath parish hall on Thursday at 7pm.

Mike Cooper, of the Berkshire Local History Association, will give the presentation to members of the Whitchurch and Goring Heath History Society.

The society meets on the third Thursday of the month from September to May. Membership is £12 per year and includes refreshments.
