AN award-winning photographer will give a talk about his new book to the Whitchurch and Goring Heath History Society on November 21.

Jim Donahue wrote The Thames Valley: Past, Present, and Future — a Snapshot of English Life, which features the history, community life, countryside and politics of the area.

Mr Donahue, 61, who also chairs Whitchurch Parish Council, will give a presentation at the parish hall in Goring Heath at 2.30pm.

He was inspired to write about his experiences living in the community and exploring nature over the last 25 years and how different life is compared to his native America.
