Pub sold to bar and restaurant firm

A PUB in Medmenham has been sold.

The Dog and Badger has been bought by Lentia Veliai, from Amarone Bar and Restaurant Limited.

Its former owner said: “We are pleased to see the Dog and Badger pass into capable hands and begin its next chapter.

“It’s a special place, and we’re confident it will continue to serve the village well.”

Lentia said: “The Dog and Badger is a beautiful site in a fantastic location and I am excited to bring a fresh, authentic approach to the business.

“I’m particularly looking forward to working with the local community to ensure the pub continues to thrive as a welcoming and vibrant part of village life.”

The sale was handled by specialist business property adviser Christie and Co which described Lentia as an “experienced operator”.

Associate director Tim Widdows said: “We were delighted with the level of interest received, which reflects the enduring appeal of well-located pubs and restaurants, even during challenging trading conditions.

“The Dog and Badger is a prime example of how quality assets in strong areas remain resilient and continue to attract experienced operators.”
