ON Monday an unfortunate accident happened to a little boy named Harold Dudley, aged nine years, son of Mr And Mrs H Dudley, of 10 Harpsden Road. He was in the act of crossing the road when an oncoming car knocked him down. The occupant of the car stopped and conveyed the lad to the hospital, where subsequent investigation showed that he had sustained a fracture of the small bone of one of his legs above the ankle. He is progressing satisfactorily.

By the courtesy of Sir Charles and Lady Cottier, the beautiful grounds of Swyncombe House were thrown open to the public on Saturday, October 3, the occasion being a gipsy fair promoted by the local company of Girl Guides to augment their funds.
