A THIRD of cars monitored by community speed watch groups in Kidmore End and Sonning Common in September were speeding.
A total of 86 cars were surveyed by volunteers in Horsepond Road and 31 were travelling more than 25mph, 5mph faster than the 20mph speed limit.
Of these cars, 22 were travelling at at least 30mph and the top speed was 45mph.
In Reades Lane, Sonning Common, a total of 110 cars were surveyed and it was found that 37 were travelling faster than 25mph and the top speed was 40mph.
Both groups reported cars slowing down when they noticed the speed watch volunteers.
