HENLEY Literary Festival has two pop-up events on the same day next month.
Jojo Moyes and Pollyanna Wilkinson will be at The Barn at the Bottle & Glass on Sunday, February 9.
At 4pm, author Jojo Moyes will be talking about her latest novel, We All Live Here, at the country pub in Binfield Heath.
The story is about Lila Kennedy, a bestselling author who wrote a book about keeping your marriage alive but is now divorced, while her former partner has found someone new.
She lives with her stepdad Bill, who moved in after her mother died. Her eldest child, Celie, has stopped going to school, not that Lila is aware of this.
Nine-year-old Violet finds fart jokes funny and is into rap songs. Meanwhile, Truant the dog has bitten an American actor, who has just turned up, and is Lila’s estranged father, Gene.
As the household adjusts, everyone seems to lighten up a little, but will things head in the right direction?
A Sunday Times bestseller, Jojo Moyes has written books including Me Before You (which was adapted into a film starring Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke), After You, Still Me, The Girl You Left Behind, The One Plus One and a short story collection, Paris for One and Other Stories.
She has received critical praise and acclaim from authors including Jodi Picoult and Maeve Binchy. Then at 6.30pm, garden designer Pollyanna Wilkinson will be joined by Marlow interior designer Jojo Barr of House Nine design studio.
The founder of Studio Pollyanna in Oxshott, Surrey, Pollyanna’s award-winning landscape design practice works on projects across the UK and internationally.
She also has an Instagram page where she shares her expertise, as well as a podcast, The Ins & Outs.
Her new book, How to Design a Garden: Create and Maintain Your Dream Garden, is full of inspiration, practical advice, moodboards and beautiful plant combinations and contains a helpful month-by-month growing guide.
