Fire worry

09:30AM, Monday 21 July 2025

A REPORT of a fire in Stoke Row on Monday turned out be a private bonfire.

A villager had called Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service at 10.30pm warning that they had seen a blaze with the potential to get out of hand.

They said that they were worried as there was just a hosepipe to bring it under control.

A spokesman for the service said no one attended the scene but safety advice was provided.
