CUTTING of the grass at Well Orchard in Stoke Row will be carried out by the parish council in the forthcoming year.
This is due to falling donations to the Well Trust, which manages the land, as visitors carry less cash with them than previously.
The arrangement, which will be reviewed by the council at its next budget, will allow parishioners to continue to use the orchard in a well-kept state.
It will also allow trustees to continue with a nature diversity plan for the area.
