FORMER Lush guitarist Miki Berenyi and partner, Kevin “Moose” McKillop, joined forces with Oliver Cherer to form the Miki Berenyi Trio three years ago and they are performing in Reading on Friday, December 12.

With Miki on vocals and guitar, Kevin on guitar and Oliver on bass, with the use of a drum machine, they started by re-imagining the songs of Lush at book signings and music and literary festivals.

Miki’s memoirs of her Britpop and shoegaze years, Fingers Crossed: How Music Saved Me from Success was published in 2022.

Last year, they released their debut single, Vertigo, and the album Tripla came out in April.

Known as MB3, the trio will play the Face Bar in Chatham Street. The gig is at 7pm and tickets cost £14. For more information, visit whatsonreading.com
