A “DOG-IN-THE-MANGER” attitude by Henley Town Council’s general purposes committee over the use of the town badge has come under attack from a resident. The badge and coat of arms were paid for by donations from the public but now an application has come to display the badge outside a shop. The committee recommended refusal.

A vigilante campaign by residents has been suggested by a town council committee in an effort to clean up Henley. Members of the plans, environment and highways committee heard that two letters of complaint had been received about the state of the town. One complained about dog fouling and the other concerned hedges and trees overhanging footpaths.
