100 years ago

THE Henley United Rowing Club held a dance at the town hall on Wednesday evening when there was a total of 130 present. The music was supplied by the Weowna Dance Band and the refreshments were catered by the Weowna Buffet.

Play in the Phyllis Court tennis tournament was continued on Thursday and Friday in glorious weather but, on Saturday, shortly before the finals were to have started, an incessant rain set in prevent any further play and it was decided to divide the prizes.
