WE strongly advise those of our readers who are interested in the future welfare of their country to attend the public meeting to be held in the Town Hall, Henley, on Monday evening next, at 7.45pm. There is a very real danger to this country from the growth of the Communist movement by the firebrands of the Socialist party, and it is well that everyone should hear what has happened to Russia under the Communist rule.

An enjoyable evening — A whist drive and dance, promoted on behalf of the Nuffield Football Club, was held in the Nettlebed village hall on September 16 and was largely patronised. Many friends and a number if Henley tradesmen kindly contributed gifts for the prize fund.
