FORMER Henley resident Nigel Orme won gold at the WPC world powerlifting championships held in Portugal last week.

Orme took top honours in the Masters 3 75kg category deadlift with a new personal best lift of 162.5kg. Orme also took silver in the benchpress with 100kg.
