CHILDREN and staff at Rupert House School, Henley, celebrated World Book Day by dressing as their favourite book characters from Little Red Riding Hood to The Cat in the Hat.
Pupils from year 3 to year 6 spent time discussing and sharing books in their house teams. The children took part in activities inspired by fantasy book The Dragon Machine, which included acting out scenes and designing their own dragon machine. Head of English
Hannah Clough, who dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, said: “World Book Day was filled with joy. We shared our love of reading from nursery all the way up to year 6 and the children had a wonderful day. They were so creative with their costumes and it was great to see the smiles on their faces.”
