School’s impressive academic and vocational pass rate

THE Piggott School looks forward to welcoming current Year 11 students to their sixth form open evening which takes place on Thursday, November 14.

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from our staff and students, familiarise yourself with the Level 3 curriculum and explore the opportunities available to students. There will also be a presentation from headteacher, Mrs Alexander — repeated at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm.

The school is extremely proud of its outstanding success in both academic and vocational courses with its A Level pass rate being 99 per cent with an outstanding 32 per cent of grades at A* and A.

The Piggott School’s Vocational Level 3 pass rate for Applied General Qualifications was 100 per cent, with distinction star to merit being 80 per cent. Students that recently joined the sixth form always talk about the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, where staff and students have mutual respect and an open rapport.

The school pride themselves on providing an inclusive education and its highly experienced teachers ensure that every student reaches their potential through real academic commitment, enriching opportunities and engagement in school life.
