TELEVISION presenter and chef Simon Rimmer will be among those giving cookery demonstrations at this year’s Mapledurham food and craft festival. The event will take place at Mapledurham House from April 30 to May 2.
Rimmer, who co-hosts Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, will give a demonstration on the Sunday and Ian Cumming, a finalist in the last series of the Great British Bake Off, will do the same twice the following day.
There will be free cooking activities for adults with four sessions each day on how to make the most of a barbecue and a children’s cookery school where they can learn how to turn basic ingredients into tasty treats.
House chef Clover Hutson will lead sessions on filleting and cooking fish, cooking preserves and curds and making mascapone.
